Chloe Harris Kiss100 2007-07-08

Chloe's first Kiss100 was astonishing, her second equally attention-grabbing, & this--her 3rd--fails to hit the admittedly high standards her previous appearances intimated. Instead of a danceable set, this mix is simply "head-music", i.e., put on your headphones while operating the interweb or entering data into the google-machine & you won't to feel too disappointed. The sound is still relatively melodic, though it's no longer prog but minimal tekno. Thursday aft under the fluorescents meant I didn't dislike as much as the last listen. Even so, whatever happened to the buzz of 2004 & 2006--anomalous events in an otherwise blaise dj portfolio? Rather unlikely given the quality of the earlier Kiss100 appearances...one hopes.
