1st hr
Call me a callous, old fashioned groover or what you will, I mind not.
Mark's 1st hr is a sumptuous selection of big tunes from the heyday of funky house in the mid90s. The 2nd hr is for all his musical nous the nay-day--for me anyways--of funkalicious house beats. In what way this fella sees his mid90s musical roots as influencing his contemporary taste in sound escapes me. That's fine, b/c much does (esp. Liverpool losing to Barnsley).
In any case, this EM is worth taking on if only to get into some classic tunes. If/when you make it into the 2nd hr, try if you will to determine the connection shared by Mark's current crop of killer kutz & those he traversed earlier. Beyond their orientation as forms of house music, I cannot seem to see it.
