Recorded live on 1200’s and CDJ’s on NYE 2003.
I’ve been revisiting many of my old recorded mixes from the last 2 decades. I have many, and I hope to periodically upload my entire collection as time goes on. I’ve uploaded a half dozen or so already to Mixriot and urge you to listen to those as well, if you haven’t yet.
This mix is very special to me. It maybe from many years ago, but it’s a great reflection of the tracks I was into at the time. Classic artists like John Creamer & Stephane K, The Lexicon Ave. crew, Tarrentella, Sultan, and G-Pal are all in this mix. I especially like the book-ends tracks; Both tracks are what I consider amazing productions that will stand the test of time always; Bedrock’s Forge is simply beautiful. I’d love feedback on the intro edit I did. If you can’t place it, it’s the voice of actor Kevin Spacey. UNKLE’s In a State, which later gained massive fame when Sasha included another version of it on his Involver 1 mix in 2004, is showcased here in from it’s original Sasha’s remix. Let me know if this sparks nostalgia with you too. Enjoy. From Phoenix, Arizona, David Epstein.
