This was rather hard to track down! I lost my copy years ago. This is one of my favourite mix CD's of all time. To think, it came free with Mixmag.
It has been put together into one mix/mp3 having been split up into individual tracks. I used mp3 direct cut, so there is no loss of quality (as it hasn't been re-encoded).
I cut the audio 'gaps' out of the joined-up file, so it synced properly without jumping. If the transitions seem a bit 'jumpy' this was not me doing a bad job, but the original CD sounded the same (it's just his style of mixing on this set).
Eddie had been ill all week prior to mixing the CD. Hence the voice-over at the beginning about having been up for 24 hours mixing it. He didn't want to let Mixmag down. Thank god he didn't. This is a great set.
I first saw Eddie Haliwell play live at Sundissential North back in early 2002. I have never been more impressed by a hard dance DJ. The guy was pulling tunes together from all over the place and scratching in real time (not with FX). Somehow he managed to blend Trance, Techno and Hard House together in a way I hadn't heard since the (late) great Tony De Vit himself. He's a fellow northerner and also seems to be a really nice bloke. Eddie, we salute you.
