Smooth !

Love his sound, love his music. I discovered him through the John Digweed mixes and I really love Guy J vibe. Don't know much about him as I was full on electronic music in the early 90's but something I can say, his music makes me fly and this is a very good sign !!

Mellow, rewarding.

I've listened to this 5 or 6 times now and I have to say Guy J is rapidly becoming one of my favourite DJs. It's a rich progressive vibe that's reminiscent of the sound perhaps 10 years ago: downtempo and melodic. Here here's conspicuously doing his job of warming the crowd up: nothing too big to upstage Diggers. But the result stands so well in its own right that there must have been a few clubbers that were sorry for his set to end.
I love the crowd noise by the way. Authentically British, down to the "turn it up!" shouts at the end. I spent many a Thursday at Bedrock under the arches and this helped to bring it back. Perhaps next year I'll make the effort again.
