John E - Gimme a Break

  • Title: Gimme A Break
  • Artist: John E
  • Year: 1994/1995
  • Genre: Breakbeat
  • Length: 93:14 minutes (128.03 MB)
  • Format: MP3 Stereo 44kHz 192Kbps (CBR)

Circa 1993-97, John E was a legendary local DJ in the Toronto rave scene. One of the founders of the now infamous Pleasure Force rave promotions company, he rocked thousands with his funky, acid-flavoured breakbeat house. This set is a tripped-out breakbeat buzz packed w/a wackload of classic--west coast, Florida, UK--trax, similar to what one would hear him spin during the 5am-7am slot in monstrous warehouse filled w/grooving punters. No samplers, digi, midi, dat or software tech gadgetry happening, this is turntable tricknology in effect. Size it up.
